The term “Services” refers collectively to the Site and other services offered by My Dog Camp in connection with the Site. This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) details our policy with respect to the information we collect when you use the Services.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you use the Services, we may collect data from you that allows a data user to specifically identify you (“Personal Information”).  For example, when you purchase products from our Site, contact us, or participate in a survey, we may collect a variety of Personal Information, including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, and credit card information.  Our collection of such Personal Information is subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, and you acknowledge and consent to the fact that such Personal Information may be transferred to our offices and servers, and those of any Authorized Third Parties (defined below).

Non-Personal Information

When you use the Services, we may receive and store data from you that does not, on its own, allow a data user to specifically identify you (“Non-Personal Information”).  For example, we may collect information such as the unique device identifier, referrer URL, location, and time zone where the Services are being used.  We may use this Non-Personal Information and pool it with other Non-Personal Information to, for example, identify the number of visitors to our Site, and the domain names of our visitors’ Internet service providers.

To provide the Services, we may make use of “cookies.”  Cookies are a technology that facilitate the exchange of certain data between your computer and our server.  They allow us to add functionality to the Services and analyze use of the Services more accurately.  For example, our Site may set a cookie on your browser that allows you to access the Services without reentering a password more than once during a visit to the Site, or remember the items that are in your shopping cart.  Whenever we use cookies, we do not collect Personal Information without your permission.  Your web browser may allow you to receive notifications when you receive a new cookie, or prevent websites you visit from setting cookies.  For best use of the Services, we recommend that you permit your browser to receive cookies.

Our Use of Personal Information and Non-Personal Information

We use your Personal Information for a variety of purposes related to the Services.  If you provide us with Personal Information for a specific reason, we may use the Personal Information in connection with that specific reason.  For example, if you contact us for technical assistance, we will use the Personal Information you provide to resolve the issue or answer your question.  In addition, if you provide us with Personal Information to gain access to the Services, we will use your Personal Information to allow you access to and monitor your use of the Services. We also may use your Personal Information and any Non-Personal Information we collect to help us improve the content and functionality of the Services, and to better understand who uses the Services.  Further, we may use Personal Information to contact you in the future to inform you of new products and services we believe will be of interest to you.  If we do so, any marketing communication we send you will contain instructions that allow you to “opt-out” of receiving such communications.  In addition, you may contact us at any time and ask to have your name deleted from our mailing list so that you will no longer receive marketing communications. If we intend on using Personal Information in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time Personal Information is collected.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Information and Other Non-Personal Information

My Dog Camp is in business to provide training and the Services, not to sell your information.  There are, however, certain situations in which we may share your Personal Information with certain third parties without further notice to you, as detailed below.  You may choose to visit the Site or interact with us without providing us Personal Information.  If you choose not to provide us Personal Information, however, you may not be able to use certain Services.

Authorized Third Parties

An “Authorized Third Party” is an agent, consultant, or other business we may hire to help us perform certain business-related tasks.  For example, we may hire an Authorized Third Party to mail information to you, process payments, provide certain Site functions, such as an online discussion forum, and maintain our databases.  In the event we hire an Authorized Third Party to perform a business-related task, we will only provide the Authorized Third Party with the Personal Information needed to perform the specific task for which we have hired it.

Corporate Event

As our company grows, we may buy or sell assets from or to other businesses.  In the event of a corporate sale, acquisition, merger, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event, Personal Information and Non-Personal Information may be included among the transferred assets.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your Personal Information if we are required to do so by law, or if we have the good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation;  (ii) protect and defend our property; (iii) protect the personal safety of users of the Services and the general public; or (iv) protect us from legal liability.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you provide to us by a method other than the Services.  Nor does this Privacy Policy apply to any unsolicited information you provide us through the Services or by any other means.  Such unsolicited information includes, but is not limited to, information posted to any public areas of the Services, such as community forums, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing ones, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Unsolicited Information”).  All Unsolicited Information is non-confidential and My Dog Camp may reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.

The Services may contain links to other websites that we do not operate or control (the “Third Party Sites”).  Our Privacy Policy does not apply to these Third Party Sites, nor do the links from the Services imply that we endorse or have reviewed the Third Party Sites.  Please contact those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

We take commercially reasonable measures to protect your Personal Information from loss and misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.  Despite our best efforts, it is not possible to make Internet transmissions fully secure or without error.  Please take special care in deciding what information you send to us.
